LULAC Joins Avue Affiliate Program

Group Endorses Avue Digital Services as Vital Solution Insuring Non-Discriminatory Treatment of Employees and Applicants

July 8, 2009

Washington, DC – The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Avue Technologies today announced an affiliation designed to advance opportunities for government employment to Hispanic Americans across the country.  LULAC is the largest and oldest Hispanic civil rights organization in the country.  Avue Technologies is the leading provider of human capital management solutions for the Federal Government.

As part of the affiliation, Avue will offer LULAC members, free of charge, an employment and job information portal uniquely designed and maintained by Avue. The online portal will provide LULAC members with the ability to build resumes, search for job openings, and apply for Federal Government positions. Members will also have access to important information on Federal employment benefits and important civil rights issues such as employment discrimination, affirmative action, and employment rights. LULAC members will be notified of opportunities that match their individual interests and will be able to expedite their application directly to agencies that are Avue customers.

LULAC exclusively endorses Avue Digital Services® because Avue’s offering is the only automated solution that insures non-discriminatory treatment of all employees and applicants in terms of hiring, promotion, training, disciplinary treatment, and similar issues of workforce management.

“LULAC is proud to take part in Avue Technologies’ Affiliates Program,” said
Brent Wilkes, LULAC Executive Director. “Avue’s technology and Federal HR expertise provides a state-of-the-art tool chest for our members. We feel strongly this affiliation will help our members become even more active participants in the government employment process, expanding their skills, and providing them with the resumes needed to be more competitive in the job market.”

The Avue Affiliates Program is a no-fee, no advertising service to select affinity groups, capturing the leading edge in diversity recruitment and benefiting both Federal agencies, and applicants for Federal government positions. The program provides Avue customer agencies the broadest possible reach, without added costs, and helps affirm their commitment to diversity recruitment. Avue affiliates gain access to thousands of federal jobs, resume building and interview tools, and streamlined online applications processes with Avue customer agencies.

“Hispanic Americans make up an important part of this country’s labor pool and Avue supports their rights to access and compete fairly for Federal jobs. At the same time, employment outreach to Hispanics has been hampered by the lack of a national focus for the effort,” said Linda Rix, Co-CEO of Avue Technologies. “By teaming with LULAC, we hope to not only support Hispanic American employment opportunities, but also to support our customer goals of increasing the representation of Hispanic Americans employed by their agencies and the Federal Government as a whole.”
