Avue Announces New Federal Hiring and Job Search Enhancements

New HR Management Tools and Job Search Functionality Will Help People Find Federal Jobs and Avue’s Customer Agencies to Fill Them

Company Also Will Help Agencies Meeting Challenge of Reducing Cost of Outside Contractors

Washington, DC – Avue Technologies today announced significant enhancements to its state of the art Federal management platform, including the addition of new features to Avue Central®, the site that has served over seven million Federal job search candidates.

New features include:

  • Google™ search functionality has been added throughout the entire Avue platform. Federal hiring managers can now easily search large applicant pools such as Avue Central, including resumes and attachments, for specific skills and experience.  If desired, managers can then target certain candidates or groups for proactive recruitment efforts.  Meanwhile, applicants using Avue can also use Google™ search to identify desirable vacancies out of the more than 25,000 Federal job openings available on an average day.
  • For job applicants using Avue, new functionality called “Bring It” allows applicants to upload their resume, and the system will automatically bring forward suggested vacancies that make a good fit for the applicant’s skills, experience and education.
  • Avue also announced that it was adding new capabilities to its platform to address agency needs to respond to OMB and Congressional initiatives to identify contractors, their cost, number of individuals involved, and the activities they perform.

“We’re very pleased to be adding these new features that will substantially enhance the user experience and outcome for Federal hiring managers and job applicants,” said Linda Rix, Co-CEO of Avue. “At the same time, Congress and the Administration are rightly concerned about the rampant use and expense of outside contractors instead of Federal employees.  We believe that the first step in getting control in terms of cost and accountability is to have a system that enables agencies to collect, track, and report on contracting activity.  Avue prides itself on helping its customers meet this type of critical strategic challenge.”

Avue made its announcements at a client demonstration and Special Leadership 2.0 event, where in addition to a briefing on Federal hiring process improvements, clients were updated on Veterans Preference Initiatives and methods for improving management of Federal consultants.
